Kathy Griffin

Kathy Griffin was born on November 4 1960. She was born in America in Chicago and was brought up and spent her days in Forest Park. Her father and mother both worked. Her father was employed as a manager at an electronic store whereas her mother worked in a hospital as an administrator. Her mothers name was Maggie and her father was named John.

Both of her parents believed in religion and were Catholic. She had a catholic upbringing. She graduated in the year 1978 and was educated at Oak Park and River forest High School. Kathy had five other family members 3 elder brothers and an elder sister. One of her brothers has passed away. Kathy was the youngest of the group.

She began her comedy career by joining a group called the Groundlings in the year 1980. She herself stated that she was interested in the group after seeing some of their performances live. She then went backstage and met one of the Groundlings member and got to know more about the group. Afterwards she started taking classes and due to her exceptional skill was invited into the main company. She performed and gathered a lot of experience by performing with this group. Later on she pursued her career in this field and became a stand up comedian in Los Angeles.

She also appeared in her own show titled Hop Cup of Talk in the year 1998 for HBO. Due to her skills as a performer and artist she has appeared in numerous television serials such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and most currently Ugly Betty. She has also featured in movies such as Shakes the Clown and many more. Furthermore Kathy has lent her voice to animated characters as well and is very skilled at voice work. She lent her voice to the animated Dilbert as well as the widely popular Spiderman series.
