Box-office movies plus hit singles plus theater performance equals sexy diva in the making, what can you expect more from this Afro-Cuban artist Christina Milian. Born in Jersey City on September 26, 1981, she grew up in Waldorf, Maryland along with her Cuban parents and two younger sisters. At a tender age of four, she dreamed of being a star someday. That dream paved her way into theaters as she landed as a junior journalist on Disney Channel's Movie Surfers.
She moved to Los Angeles when she was thirteen to pursue further her acting career. She guested in Charmed, Sister Sister, Smart Guy, Clueless, Get Real, The Amanda Show and The Steve Harvey Show. She also played minor roles for the films A Bug's Life and American Pie. She hosted MTV Wannabes and met director Joseph Kahn who adviced her to audition for a lead role in the movie Torque. She made it on the film playing Nina plus she landed a lead role in another movie via 2003's Love Don't Cost a Thing with Nick Cannon.
Two years after, she got the roles for the films Man of the House with Tommy Lee Jones and Be Cool opposite John Travolta and Uma Thurman. In 2006, she appeared in a horror flick Pulse alongside Kristen Bell where she played as Isabelle Fuentes. She also appeared in Jessica Simpson's music video A Public Affair alongside Eva Longoria, Andy Dick and Maria Menounos. Up to this date, we can catch her on Eight Days a Week with Mario Lopez and will appear in the ABC Family's film Snow Globes set to release in 2007.
Her musical reputation arise when she lend her voice in Ja Rule's Between Me and You. That garnered her music projects including producing and doing back-up vocals for Jennifer Lopez hit single Play. She co-wrote the song Same Ol' Same Ol for the all-girl group P.Y.T. In year 2000, she released her first self-titled album and did a platinum mark at the UK album charts and her single AM to PM peaked at no.58 in the Billboard's RnB singles charts.
